Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using PepCerto ("we," "our," or "us") software and services (the "Service"). It is intended to protect the Service, our users, and others from unlawful, harmful, or irresponsible use.

This AUP forms part of our Terms and Conditions. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.

2. Prohibited activities

You must not use the Service to engage in, promote, or facilitate any of the following:

a) Illegal, fraudulent, or harmful conduct

  • Fraud: Creating or sending deceptive or fraudulent financial documents, including fake invoices, phishing, or misrepresenting your identity or the purpose of a transaction.
  • Unlawful conduct: Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Harmful content: Transmitting content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.

b) Security violations

  • Unauthorized access: Accessing or attempting to access any system, account, or data without authorization.
  • Malware: Distributing viruses, malware, trojans, or other code intended to disrupt, damage, or limit software, hardware, or communications.
  • Disruption: Activity that could harm our Service, servers, or network, including denial-of-service attacks, probing, or other attempts to disrupt the Service.

c) Network and email abuse

  • Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk messages, including invoices to recipients who have not agreed to receive them from you.
  • Email bombing: Sending an excessive volume of email to a recipient with malicious intent.
  • Spoofing: Falsifying headers or misrepresenting the origin of communications sent through the Service.

d) Misuse of the Service

  • Resale: You may not resell the Service or any part of it without our express written permission.
  • Reverse engineering: You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software except where mandatory law allows.
  • Overloading: Imposing an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure or otherwise interfering with the proper operation of the Service.

3. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we find a violation, we may take appropriate action without prior notice, including but not limited to:

  • Issuing a warning.
  • Suspending your account.
  • Terminating your account.
  • Reporting the matter to competent authorities.

We decide, at our reasonable discretion, what constitutes a violation of this policy.

5. Changes to this policy

We may revise this AUP from time to time. The effective date at the top indicates the latest version. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
