Why sole traders and freelancers choose PepCerto
From 2026, Belgian B2B invoicing goes through PEPPOL. But PEPPOL itself is a European network: it is not “Belgium-only”. You can use it to send invoices to, and receive invoices from, businesses in other countries too (the Netherlands, France, Finland, and more) as long as they have a PEPPOL address. For many sole traders that still sounds like another subscription and another app to learn. It does not have to feel that way. PepCerto is built so compliant invoicing stays realistic without a thick manual and without paying for software aimed at large teams.
Your first invoice in a few minutes
Many PEPPOL services open with long forms and extra checks. PepCerto is built around speed: account, VAT number, then send a compliant invoice in minutes. Everyday use feels like a normal web app.
Three ways to invoice
You choose how you work. PepCerto adapts to that.
Enter details manually: client, amount, and VAT. Your invoice is often ready within a few minutes.
Upload a PDF: already have your own invoice layout? Upload it. PepCerto reads the data and sends through PEPPOL where that fits. Your layout stays yours, with no retyping.
Type a short line about what you are billing, including amount and VAT, and let the assistant draft the invoice. Your workflow stays familiar instead of following one rigid template.
Clear pricing and PEPPOL credits
Paid PepCerto plans cover sending and receiving on PEPPOL, with a fixed credit bundle and no hidden PEPPOL fee beyond what we publish online. Receive-only and Starter are yearly only. Standard and Pro can be billed monthly or yearly. The table below matches the pricing page and the FAQ.
| Plan | Billing | Price | PEPPOL credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Receive only | Yearly only | €69.99/year | 600 receipts per year, no sending |
| Starter | Yearly only | €59.99/year | 180 per year (15 per month) |
| Standard | Monthly or yearly | €14.99/month or €149.99/year | 40 per month (480 per year) |
| Pro | Monthly or yearly | €19.99/month or €199/year | 100 per month (1200 per year) |
Starter is the entry plan with 15 PEPPOL credits per month (180 per year). Standard gives 40 credits per month. Pro gives 100 credits per month and adds more extras on the platform, such as recurring invoicing, payment reminders, and integrations.
Every plan includes AI support for invoices, automatic PDF conversion, the mobile app, and access for your accountant.
How does that compare to alternatives?
Some providers bundle PEPPOL with project management, time tracking, quotes, purchase orders, or full accounting. That makes sense if you really use those modules. If you mainly need to send and receive PEPPOL invoices as a sole trader, you often pay elsewhere for screens you never open. PepCerto stays focused on invoices that are correct.
As a concrete example: Billit costs €7.50 per month for up to 25 invoices and jumps to €25 per month beyond that. PepCerto Standard stays at €14.99 per month for 40 transactions, and Pro at €19.99 per month for up to 100 — without bundling time tracking or project management you never asked for.
Focus on invoicing, not all-in-one
If you need deep CRM, HR, or heavy reporting in one stack, a large suite can be the right fit. If you mainly want compliant PEPPOL invoicing and to get paid, you can choose a tool without unnecessary extras.
Belgium, the Netherlands, and cross-border via PEPPOL
PepCerto connects to the PEPPOL network. You enter your invoice or upload your PDF, and the platform looks after delivery behind the scenes. This works for Belgian and Dutch flows, and for cross-border exchange with other PEPPOL participants. The interface is available in Dutch, French, and English.
What people tell us
I expected PEPPOL to be complicated. With PepCerto I sent my first invoice within five minutes. No hassle.
I have used the same PDF layout for years. Being able to upload it without typing everything again is a huge help.
As a freelancer I do not want to think about software. PepCerto just works. That is all I need.
Who PepCerto fits best
Sole traders, freelancers, and small teams who want PEPPOL without a course, who may already have a PDF layout, and who want credits that match how much they send and receive. Think Belgium and the Netherlands, but also anyone invoicing cross-border to PEPPOL addresses in other countries.
When a larger suite can make sense
Bigger organisations with many users, strict internal processes, or strong CRM needs sometimes grow past a light invoicing tool. Accountants with many files often combine their usual tools with the accountant portal.
